I don’t know, I’m all mad today. In the elevator in my building a woman decided she had an opinion about something I was wearing around my neck and grabbed it so she could tell me what she thought, and got mad when I told her to fuck off. I’m on the subway and a stranger wants to touch my hair. Every time I fuck someone or love someone, 0r change my body or decide whether or not to wear make-up or talk about the people I love, I prepare for the cascade of opinions or tirades or thinly-veiled self-congratulatory tolerance and it’s easier now to just not share, to hold those precious things private.

I’m tired of my body and my life being public property, of my identity and choices being used by others for leverage, at that entitled hurt or anger in their eyes when I don’t want to play along. I’m tired of seeing the people around me get manoeuvred or manhandled or held up like fucking pariahs when they just want to be left in peace. I’m bored of being someone else’s politics. I don’t want to talk – I’m just reading my book while I’m on my way home”

hey everyone, above is a picture of a court order for my boyfriends family to pay $1,830 of overdue rent by this monday. however, both of his parents are out of work on short-term disability for various mental and physical reasons, and they couldn’t pay last and this months rent due to only getting 60% of their regular checks. if they don’t pay this amount by 4pm this sunday (technically monday as the office isn’t open on sundays) they’re going to get evicted.

his step dad pete has a serious back problem and needs spinal surgery very soon. his spinal cord is tethered to cysts that have grown at the tailbone. it isn’t known yet if the cyst-like growths are cancerous, but it’s highly possible. if he doesn’t get the surgery soon his spinal cord could snap at his brain stem and cause permanent paralysis from the neck down.

his mom lori has PTSD, agoraphobia and major depressive disorder. she should be in an inpatient psych hospital but with all that’s happening financially and with pete’s need of surgery, she asked not to be put in a facility, and instead the whole family has been sleeping in shifts so she’s never left alone and has no chance to hurt or kill herself.

they need a lot of financial aid right now, so anything you can donate, even if it’s just a dollar, would be a godsend
